Privacy Policy

The short version: WiFi Wavr runs on your device. We don’t require an account, we don’t use advertising or analytics tracking, and we don’t collect, sell, or share your personal information. The app needs Location permission only because Android requires it for any app to scan nearby WiFi — it is used on your device and never stored or transmitted by us.

1. Who we are

WiFi Wavr (the “App”) is provided by AI Canadian Solutions (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the App and our website at wifiwavr.aicanadiansolutions.ca (the “Site”) handle information.

2. Permissions the App uses

Location: Android (and iOS) require Location permission for any app to read nearby WiFi networks and signal strength. We use it solely, on your device, to show signal, networks, distance and direction. We do not use GPS to track you, and we do not store or transmit your location.
Nearby WiFi / network state: read on your device to display networks, signal and estimates.
Internet: used to (a) check whether a newer version of the App is available by fetching a small version file from our server; (b) run an optional internet speed test, only when you tap “Run Speed Test”, using third-party speed-test infrastructure (for example, Cloudflare); and (c) open external web links that you tap.

3. Information we collect

The App itself does not create user accounts and does not include advertising or analytics/tracking SDKs. WiFi data, signal readings, distance estimates and any saved spots remain on your device.

When the App contacts our server (update check) or a third-party speed-test service, or when you visit the Site, those servers and content-delivery networks may automatically record standard technical request information (such as IP address, device type and timestamp) for security and reliability. This is ordinary server/CDN logging and is not used by us to build a profile of you or to identify you personally.

4. Third-party services & links

We rely on third-party infrastructure such as our hosting/CDN provider and speed-test endpoints (for example, Cloudflare). The App and Site may also link to third-party websites, app stores, and online retailers. Those services have their own privacy policies, which govern your use of them.

5. Affiliate links & recommendations

The App and/or Site may include links to products we recommend, including affiliate links. If you buy through such a link, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not change which products we choose to recommend.

6. Children

WiFi Wavr is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your choices

You can grant or revoke Location at any time in your device settings; the App will show limited functionality if it is off.
Uninstalling the App removes any data it stored locally on your device.
If you created a free account for the optional Outage Monitor, you can have it and its data permanently deleted — see Delete your account & data.

8. Changes to this policy

As the App evolves we may update this policy. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. If we ever make a material change to how the App handles information, we will update this policy and the corresponding store disclosures so they continue to accurately reflect the App’s behavior. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
